Well done to all for raising this massive amount for www.cancerresearchuk.org
The Scottish Cities Cycle Challenge may not be the Tour de France but it is going to test all but the fittest of cyclists! Taking riders through all of Scotland’s seven cities, starting in Inverness it travels down through Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Stirling and Glasgow before finishing in the capital city, Edinburgh.
If all applicants could aim to raise a minimum of £250 that would be absolutely fantastic. For 4 days of effort (for some) during the event and the training beforehand that is surely a very reachable target.
2013 was the inaugural running of the Scottish Cities Cycle Challenge, put together by two brothers and their friends, all of whom have been touched by cancer in recent years.
The main aim of the event is to raise funds for cancer research and it is being supported by Cancer Research UK who have provided much assistance to the organizing committee.
It’s with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to cancel the 2014 Scottish Cities Cycle Challenge and focus on the organisation of the 2015 event.
We plan to tweak the route and times to make it more appealing to all riders. Full details will follow shortly.
In the meantime, we would like to thank everyone for their support of this year’s event and hope that this has not put you off joining us in 2015.
We will be in touch in the near future with details of our new plans for the 2015 challenge!
We hope you enjoy the summer cycling!
